The civic literacy project is based in the idea that conventional wisdom is largely misleading and that in itself is dangerous to a free and democratic society. Our concern is not that the information is unavailable, rather it is not used.

1. Find out who represents you?
2. Find who paid his/her bills? Do they represent your
interests?
3. Dispel conventional wisdom, inform your friends
and family while making informed decisions.

Education outspent the oil industry 2 to 1 lobbying members of congress
Retirees outspent the defense industry by 15 to 1 lobbying members of congress
